Year 12 Loading........

Your Future Isn’t Built in the Big Moments It’s Built in the Quiet Ones

We talk a lot about breakthroughs, big wins, and highlight reels, but the truth is this:

- Growth happens in the moments nobody sees.

- The early mornings you show up when nobody asked you to

- The conversations you initiate because connection matters

- The follow-up you send when it would’ve been easier to let it go

- The decision to believe in your value even when doubt is louder

Whether you’re leading a team, recruiting talent, building a business, or just trying to become a better human the real change is built in the small, consistent, intentional efforts.

Tomorrow isn’t about waiting for opportunity. It’s about creating it conversation by conversation, choice by choice.

Your quiet work today becomes someone else’s highlight tomorrow.

Show up. Lean in. Do the small things with purpose. The momentum will follow.

Day 163

It's just another day that comes and goes and there's still nothing I can do about it. It feels like every time I look around everyone else is getting a heart but me and that's hard to take in.. I know it's a long race and not a sprint so I just need to train my mind to take it just one day at a time

Welcome Back

Its been a long time since I wrote on here about my life and the journey of my New Heart which my anniversary is tomorrow 😍.

10 Years strong

Today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude as I celebrate 10 years since my heart transplant. It's hard to put into words the emotions that come with this milestone because it feels like both a lifetime and just yesterday when I got that phone call that changed everything. From the days of relying on a pacemaker, then living with an LVAD for four years, to the rollercoaster of emotions while waiting for that call, it’s been an incredible journey. When I got the news that a heart was available, it felt surreal—my time had come, and everything was about to change.

I rushed to the hospital that day, filled with hope and fear, but mostly with the deep knowledge that this was my second chance. Every day since then, I’ve carried that experience with me, never taking a moment for granted. It’s a reminder that life is precious and fragile, and that I am living today because of someone else’s gift. To my donor and their family, there are no words powerful enough to express my gratitude. Their selfless decision in their most painful moment gave me life. Without them, I wouldn't be here to experience more time with my family, to see my friends, to coach the kids I’ve mentored for over 16 years, and to be part of the lives of so many incredible people. I think of my donor family often, and today especially, my heart goes out to them. Their loss is my greatest blessing, and I carry that responsibility with me every day.

To my family, who has been by my side through it all, thank you. From the early days of hospital visits, the countless prayers, and the unwavering belief that I’d make it through, I couldn’t have done this without you. You’ve given me strength when I had none left, and your love has been my anchor. To my friends, thank you for standing with me, for the support, the laughter, and the encouragement. You’ve lifted me up when I needed it most, and for that, I’m forever grateful.

To the kids I’ve had the privilege of coaching over the past 16 years—you may not know it, but you’ve helped me just as much as I’ve helped you. You’ve given me a sense of purpose, joy, and fulfillment that has been essential to my journey. And to my fellow coaches, you are more than just colleagues; you are brothers. I’m thankful for every moment we’ve shared on and off the field. Coaching with you has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

I also want to thank the incredible doctors, nurses, and medical staff who have been there every step of the way. From the beginning of this journey, you didn’t just treat me—you cared for me, encouraged me, and gave me the hope I needed to keep going. Without your expertise and compassion, I wouldn't be here today celebrating this milestone. You gave me the tools to keep fighting, and I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done.

Life is never a solo journey. It takes a village to get through the toughest moments, and I’m blessed to have an incredible village that has supported me every step of the way. Without all of you, this path would have been much harder, and for that, I thank you from the bottom of my (new) heart.

Here’s to life, to second chances, and to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. I am forever grateful. #10YearsStrong #HeartTransplantAnniversary #Gratitude #ThankYouDonorFamily #FamilySupport #CoachingFamily #VillageSupport #Blessed #SecondChanceAtLife

Happy 9 Years Anniversary

9 years ago this week the road to get a new heart begun. I can remember like it was yesterday I had to get two pacemakers since the first one wouldn't work and in that moment I knew my life would never be the same. Lucky for me I had amazing people around me keeping me strong and positive thru it all. πŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏ #Teamgotaheart

A father's pain

Every time we come check his heart I worry he would end up in my shoes but earlier then me. He will not experience the joy like I had as  playing sports or have to wear a LVAD even getting a heart someday.. I just pray this time it will skip a generation or 2 and let him be a kid and all I would have to worry about is him chasing these girls around lol
Just put my faith in the man above and his angels #daddylilchamp
